Good Housekeeping has a list of ten ways to add a little DIY creativity to your home office, including vintage metal trays used as bulletin boards. Go take a look.
I've seen this before and love it. It's on my list to do soon. I'll be visiting flea markets and antique shops for unique ones, instead of just regular cookie sheets. Cookie sheets is how I have seen this idea prior. Your example is cute!!
I have that exact same tray as well, but I have it hanging with a plate hanger on a wall in my living room as part of a montage with a portrait of my parents circa 1972. Must have been a popular design.
I saw this in the mag. and couldn't resist a few months ago. I sprayed an old cookie sheet black and then covered all but the top[ in scrapbook paper. SO I can use the top as a chalk board and the bottom as a magnet board. It's cute. If I do say so myself. I need to post it on my blog! I'd forgotten about it!
I love this idea!

ReplyDeleteI have that exact tray in my kitchen doing just that. It has the kitchen timer and recipes on it, and looks great with the Tiffany-blue walls.
