ReplyDeleteIt is a shame it's from Walmart, as I boycott them. They are, however, really moving forward with modern style furniture. I was recently in the market for a crib for my upcoming baby (I'm due in a week) and Walmart has really attractive modern nursery furniture at reasonable prices. And supposedly it's quite well made for the price, while the Dwell nursery furniture for Target is supposed to be crap. I was seriously thinking of buying one of the modern Walmart cribs, but my bosses came through and bought me the Nurseryworks Loom crib. Yes, I have awesome bosses. Now I'm looking at that office furniture and wondering where I could put it. Damn you, Walmart! Damn you!

ReplyDeleteSo could somebody lay out the reasons I'm supposed to hate Walmart? I've heard many people say they boycott it, but I don't think I've heard why. It's too far away to conveniently shop there, so I don't usually anyhow, but if I did want to shop there, what should deter me? Thanks.

ReplyDeletewhile i've seen a bunch of walmart documentaries and am completely aware of the way they treat their employees and the negative effect they have on local economy, to be honest i can't afford to shop most other places.

OH and i totally forgot to mention that walmart has a version of ikea's traktor desk chair for $10 cheaper than ikea's retail price.
