Did you know you can get personalized M&Ms? They'll print your own message, logo, or even photos on any of 22 shell colors. You can choose your own packaging, too. Fun party favors! Check it out here. Via bb-blog.
I like the ones you did! My son's kindergarten teacher made them up for the class last year for the end of the year party in the school colors. They were adorable and the kids (who had just learned to read that year) got a real kick out it!
What a brilliant idea - you have just solved a dilemma for me: what to get for someone who has everything! Thank you so much for the tip (and the link to BB Blog - going to check it out too).
We needed so many for my daughter's wedding that the cost of the custom-printed ones was prohibitive. We ended up ordering 25 pounds of aqua M&Ms at $49.99 for five pounds plus shipping! In case anyone wants to know, those little round Wilton favor tins hold 3/4 ounce of M&Ms.
We did over-order, so a little over a month later we've almost eaten the last five pounds, but they looked so pretty in my big glass canister that I'm thinking of ordering five pounds every couple of months, maybe in colors to fit the season.
Custom printed ones are pricey, Janet... I wanted to do them for my wedding last year, but in the end, it was very low on the totem pole of things I really wanted, so they didn't get ordered. A friend of mine just did them for her wedding (last weekend) - but they never look as nice in person as they do in the picture. Sometimes the designs/words are off-centered, or blurry, etc.
...but I still would've done them had I had the budget. :)
I don't want to sound stingy, but I did this for my mom for mothers day and was quite shocked at how much it ended up costing! It's not that each bag is all that much, but I think the minimum to buy is three bags! Luckily my mom is not the type to gobble up such a thing without appreciating first and the gift was HUGE hit!
OMG!! I love this!! Wish I knew this when I was looking for favors for my wedding!! I thought they only did initials!? Sooo cute!
ReplyDeleteThese are so pretty! I would want to just look at them and not eat them.
ReplyDeleteActually, I would eat them. Yum.
we did this a few years ago for a client pitch. needless to say they absolutely LOVED it!
ReplyDeletecheers
