DIY computer boosters

Don't you hate it when your computer monitor is not at eye level, and you have to slump way down in your chair to get your head directly in front your screen? To solve this problem we'd been using stacks of books to hold up our machines. Tip: Dictionaries and big fat Bible commentaries work nicely. But they're unsightly, so Alex took matters into his own hands and made these out of scrap wood from Home Depot. Awesome! He just screwed the pieces together and painted them orange. He created a special feature on his booster so he can slide the keyboard under it, freeing up desk space. I, on the other hand, just use his desk space for my desk space. (Sorry, Sweetie.)

  2. Sweet! I like that the keyboard can go underneath when not in use. He should sell them on etsy or something.

  7. This is precisely what my chiropractor ordered. At the moment I'm using a pile of books. This is way better.

  9. Thanks. I say this as I am sitting comfortably in front of my Mac. Eating a bowl of soup. With my drink and a bunch of papers on Alex's desk. :)

  10. I have a nice black and silver one that matches my pc paraphenalia, but its plastic (and really dusty now that I am looking at it!) - yours looks much nicer!

Those of you using phone books could just cover them in some nice gift wrap you know...

  11. The tip about the Bible commentaries made me laugh because I use mine for exactly the same thing. They really are quite versatile. :)

  20. Nice...and of course it's orange :)

We use an upside down wire bin -- love the instant storage space underneath.

  21. Well, that's such a wonderful idea. So simple, thanks for the instructions. My husband is always saying he need something for our monitor to set on. I just might have to do this!

  22. Yes, Bibles do work wonders for hoisting up the old monitors. But for some reason my mother-in-law was a bit uptight about me using the Bible in such a way.

  23. Well, I used Bible commentaries so that's okay. Hee hee. Truth is, I didn't have a Bible big enough.

  24. Well, I am making shortbread for an afternoon party tomorrow (don't call it a tea party!), and taking a critical look at my room's walls.

But no, fabric and the like...not so much. :]
