I'm not usually a big Jello fan, but I got inspired this week after looking at crazy pictures of Jello molds from the '50s. (Thanks, Diane.) And I do like orange, as well as anything that's kind of kooky. So I have to make these Jello oranges sometime. Not Martha's recipe with play-by-play is here, and Food Network's version with vodka is here.

I make these for the kids parties. I stick a toothpick with a sail shaped piece of rice paper to make a ship. They love them! I also add raspberries to raspberry jello and mandarin oranges to the orange. So cute!
ReplyDeleteFood network Jello Shooters! Nice! My grown up parties will never be the same!
ReplyDeleteI found these jello oranges on Not Martha last summer and have been waiting for an excuse to use them for the longest time...still waiting!
ReplyDeleteWas first introduced to these at a party a few months ago and I fell in love! They were the vodka-infused ones you refer to in the post and they were a huge hit with both sexes. However, I'd like to try them in orange because unfortunately ours were made with red jello which consequently turned all our mouths a rosy shade of drunk.
ReplyDeleteorange jello?! oooo i have to definitely try this when we have our summer parties. thanks.
ReplyDeleteGreat Idea. At the first look of them, I thought they were orange slices.
ReplyDeleteMy mom used to make us these all the time when I was little. Thanks for stirring up some happy memories.
ReplyDeleteHi, Coming out of my lurking place to say: Love your posts but this one inparticular because I have kids that love jello jigglers and I have friends that love Jello shots. Thanks for the tidbit on how to make these.
ReplyDeleteMy mum used to make these for our parties when we were little! :)

ReplyDeleteHave you evere heard about the Orange's Battle in Ivrea (Italy)?
ReplyDeleteWe shoot oranges one each other and there are more than 5000 people fighting!!
