Hi Caro,
ReplyDeleteI think that's the same one I found called Moravian star in the list. They must go by many names. I like your red one even better!
Sarah, I'm glad you found something you liked. I have winter pig on my desktop at the moment.

ReplyDeleteI'm currently going snowflake crazy in my home. Thanks for all the great ideas!
ReplyDeleteThis origami star here, is a little complex, but once you get the hang of it, you won't stop folding them.
ReplyDeleteOooo, good one!

Hi!
ReplyDeleteToday (December 8, 08) I posted an entry on my blog with a link to this entry.
Would you let me know if that's OK?
Thanks,
Nancy Ward
I can't get the link for the second pink snowflake to work?
ReplyDeleteI guess that website took down the tutorial.
ReplyDeleteActually I found it, its:

I think you just have the wrong link, or the link changed and so it just redirects to the main page now. I noticed this happened with other links you gave as well. The canon links do the same thing- just go to the main page. As long as you know how to search, you're ok! But not everyone would think of searching.
Ah, they must have changed it at some point in the last year. Old links are always breaking. Sigh. Thanks, I'll update it!
ReplyDeleteJess,
ReplyDeleteI've been wanting to make the spiky star, had the window open on my monitor for a while, decided just to bookmark it and return later, but when I did, the blog says it's private. Is there anyway to get the tutorial back?
It looks like they changed their privacy settings since the writing of this post, so there's no way to access it. Sorry!!
ReplyDeleteLinks are broken to snowflakes at Canon. :(
ReplyDeleteYey! thanks so much! did mine and showed 'em here >> http://faithhopelovelikemustard.blogspot.com/b/post-preview?token=NG3m_jMBAAA.-faSSKnUfWTZmdoszFl_pA.1pwLlf28s5wOEmQOxFIX2Q&postId=1733254661357731085&type=POST...the "not 3d' snowflakes.
ReplyDeleteI found your links and tips useful and thought I'd share a cut paper star that is 3D. http://www.bhg.com/christmas/ornaments/pretty-christmas-ornaments-made-from-paper/#page=7
ReplyDeletesome of the links go to stuff that have nothing to do with whats to be made....
ReplyDeleteHi Anonymous, that's possible, since this post is now four years old and many sites change their content regularly. Apologies for any links that no longer work.
ReplyDeleteLove the paper star, it would be great to make with ribbon. Bummer the link is no longer available.
ReplyDeletePerfect for our holiday crafting. Can't wait to show my girls!
