Just kidding. It's $49,000. But ever since
we stayed at the Shady Dell, I've longed for an Airstream trailer. And what should arrive in the mail today, but a new Design Within Reach catalog featuring THIS on the front. They've designed their own Airstream, and I am in love. Read about it at the
DWR and
Airstream websites.

Oh, I just want that to be my house. I would need so much less.
ReplyDeleteI must say I'm not a camping/rv type of gal...but that airstream would make me give it a shot!
ReplyDeleteI say: BUY IT!!! forget responsibility and the chilly 9 monthes out of the year when I wouldn't be caught dead in Chicago....
ReplyDeleteHighly cool. I want one too. Might be fun to rent one if that's being done anywhere. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI have always loved Airstreams and the DWR version is just so great. I'd live in it (but not with the kitty, doggie, and two kids).
ReplyDeleteI love DWR. Maybe it's me, but it still seems a little out of reach. Next year you should enter the champagne miniature chair contest. The prize is a big gift certificate.
ReplyDeleteFunny that you should post this. We recently bought (after much coveting) a 1975 Airstream Safari in fabulous 70's colours. Its our house right now as we're renovating and with a 2.5 year old and three cats...well let's just say its a bit cozy. But its an AIRSTREAM and I love it. I'm going to the DWR site for more decorating inspriation!
ReplyDeletethat's awesome! love dwr :)
ReplyDeleteMakes me want to play house.
ReplyDeleteThat is sooooo cool. Ive been hankering after an old 50s type one but that blows it away!!!
ReplyDeleteMy husband has been talking about this. I had no idea what he was talking about. Now I know!
ReplyDeleteReminds me of Bob Blumer's toaster airstream.
ReplyDeletePuts a new spin on the Chris Farley./SNL idea of "Livin' in a van...Down by the river."
ReplyDeleteMy Boyfriends parents have had one since the 70's and everytime they go camping they get outragous offers from people walking by. They will never sell. They treat the silver twinkie like an exclusive club.
ReplyDeletethats too cool! i was driving the other day and thinking how neat those airstreams were. just the right amount of modern convience and retro appeal.
ReplyDeleteWho would have guessed that a trailer can look so hip? I knew about this project but I never look at the interior before. Wow!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh!! So cute. I can just see a Pink Truck pulling this! LOVE IT!!
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous!!
ReplyDeleteIt is amazing. I like it, I want it...
