Here are some quick little magnets you can whip up. Cut out bits of felt into shapes you like (I did them freehand—I think it gives them more personality than drawing on them first and making them too perfect) and then glue the layers on top of each other with craft glue. Make sure the bottom leaf layer is big enough underneath for your magnet to sit fully on it. Stick the magnet on with hot glue.
very cute magnets, jess! further to your question, yep, i did indeed mean columbo the detective, perfect viewing for when my mum has got the kids. i can work to my heart's content whilst watching the greatness that is peter falk! also good viewing for working are episodes of bones (and not just for the handsome sidekick, hehe) and cold case. i love a good murder to solve whilst creating ;)

Her photo was 1) one of the easiest to unstick from the top layer on my bulletin board 2) really cute 3) nicely matching. Sometime I should get a more up-to-date one! But I love this one very much.

ReplyDeleteI got some at Joann off the bolt (nice colors there) and some at Hancock Fabrics, both off the bolt and some already cut in smaller pieces. I have a mix of wool felt and craft felt. For what I'm doing with it, I don't care which I use. Wool is nicer and pricier, craft is cheaper. I'm just in it for the colors. :)
