New fonts from the Lost Type Co-op
I see that the Lost Type Co-op has added some new fonts since the last time I was browsing over there. Check out Arvil and Lavanderia in particular. To download them, you can make a donation to the designer in any amount or enter "0" for a freebie.

Oops! I spelled it wrong! But it's your fault. ;)

HA! Totally my fault. There, I fixed the spelling in the post.
OOOO! I like Lavanderia! It may be a promising font to add to my favorites for cuttin with my Silhouette!
Have you seen the new Pantone color of the year for 2012? Hint - You are going to love it!!!

Is anyone else having trouble with the alternative characters showing up in mid-word? I can't figure out how to get certain letters like "a," "e," "r" without the extra flourish.
Hi KV. I haven't tested these typefaces yet, so I'd suggest contacting the folks at Lost Type if you're having trouble. Be sure to tell them which font you're talking about, too.

Sory, newbie here, but I am totaly not sure how this downlading fonts works. So I went on the website, types in 5 (as in donation) and then it brought to to a page and it was said; downloading. And there was an email thingy to, so I gave them my email. But anyway, I just went onto MICROSOFT WORD nad ut wasn't there. I downlaoded t again. WHATS HAPPENING????!!!
Thanks for posting these. Lavanderia is very pretty. I already installed them both on my Mac. Yay!
Hi Geneverver, no worries. In addition to downloading the font, you'll need to actually install it on your computer. Here's a website with some instructions for how to install a font. Follow the directions for the kind of computer you have.

These are lovely! Thanks so much for sharing this with everyone! four pillars of destiny
Thanks!
FYI: if you have the same problem I did, go to the "Character" drop down in Indesign, then "OpenType," then unclick "Contextual Alternatives."
Thank you! I bought two, and used them on my Christmas card!
Thanks! Lavenderia is really pretty.
Oh! New gorgeous fonts, thanks for these :) :)
I LOVE Lost Type. Just downloaded Lavanderia last week. I used a few others to make this printable:

Lyndsay, thanks for sharing!
Lavanderia is broken. Have all three weights installed on my system but only the Delicate weight is available in font lists. This is a pity since it's such a beautiful font.
All three weights plus the Open Type features (contextual alternates, swash, etc) work for me; I downloaded it when I posted this last month. If something isn't working, you can contact the Lost Type Co-op and I bet they can help you.
i'm having the same issue KV is having but i am using photoshop (its all i have, and i'm a newbie at that too) also on the preview thing on the website it had a think where the t and the h connected together when side by side. how do i use that.... oh and when i use the font in microsoft word. i dont have the problem with the extra flourishes
