Giveaway: Sears gift cards | How About Orange

December 02, 2009

Giveaway: Sears gift cards

Sitting on my desk is a $200 gift card from Sears, and here's my dilemma: should I spend it on myself or on Christmas presents for other people? Look at all the cool goodies $200 would buy you from the Sears website. (If your name is Jess and you like orange things and modern patterns, that is.) That doormat is calling my name. However, my mom is a huge Lands End fan and might never let me hear the end of it if I don't get her some socks, at least. While I ponder this moral dilemma, there's good news for you, too.

To help you with your holiday shopping, Sears is giving away two $50 gift cards to How About Orange readers. The cards can be used in stores and online at Sears, Kmart, and Lands End, so you have tons of options.

To enter the drawing, leave a comment on this post with a way of contacting you, plus one thing you'd like to buy with your gift card. (I need Christmas gift suggestions, so I plan to read through here and steal all your ideas.) The giveaway ends next Wednesday (12/9/09) at midnight CST. Two winners will be selected by a random number generator, announced in this post, and contacted.

Update: Giveaway is now closed. Congratulations to the winning commenters #165— Jessie, and #636—Lynnetta. Happy shopping!

Wheee! Thanks for doing a giveaway.

I would totally buy stuff for my kitchen, because I'm a baker and can never have enough kitcheny goodness. Or, clothes for my 5 year old boy who I swear is secretly sneaking growth hormones when I'm not looking because he's giant huge and growing like a weed.

My toddler needs a new fleece. At these sale prices he could get a few!

Mmm, collectible Barbies (the Russia doll is ridiculously gorgeous) or other things?

I'd have to go with a nice, warm throw rug for the old dorm room. Or I'd use it to just spend ten dollars on a pair of skinny jeans so I can stop rolling my bootleg jeans around my ankles.

You're an absolute doll for giving these away!

I'd like to buy my kids outdoor animated Peanuts gang holiday decorations. I don't see them on the website but heard that they are in the stores.

Thanks!

Wow, Jess, how'd you land this sweet deal?!?

Fleece! Or perhaps turtlenecks. Or warm socks.

mmmm....

Oh man, I am kind of totally in love with that owl pillow! It's so cute! It would go with my couch and my green chair. And then I could stop dragging my bed pillows to the living room... Amazing!

Something from LandsEnd to keep my mama warm!

Beth said...

I would love to enter. My first stop would be at the fragrance counter and then on to the jewelry. If those don't fill the bill then a wander through the home furnishings dept. would be next. So much to do.....so little time....sigh

girl that owl pillow is killer!!! you should give the gift cards away with the stipulation that the winner will get you a present from the list. ;)

How cool! Call me crazy, but my dog could really use a parka. I am tired of wiping him down after getting back from our foggy walk.

I'd probably buy some tool stuff for my dad!

I LOVE that owl pillow, I have developed a deep want for it LOL!!

I've got 6 kids, so a 50 dollar gift card wouldn't go far, but it *would* buy one Wii game to the tune of Mario Brothers to go with their new scrimped and saved for Wii game system!

Judy said...

My suggestion for a gift is that you give something to the pet instead. Pet owners love their animals and it would be a nice change. A toy, a bed, a treat. If I win, I would like to buy something for my Si.

Oh! I'd love to enter. I think my husband would salivate over any tools I bought from Sears. I know we could sure use a quilt that fits our queen size mattress - I'd like to make it, but with a 20 month old it gets a bit crazy over here. And of course stocking stuffers would be fun. In my house growing up, stockings were the best part of Christmas.
Thanks - what a great giveaway. I'm crossing fingers! Happy Holidays!

My name is Jes ...I like orange and modern patterns. seriously.

I have been trying to justify buying my seven year old daughter a sewing machine of her very own (money wise that is ..I know she would absolutely love it and I really want it for her). This is the one I've been ogling (http://www.sears.ca/product/kenmore-md-1-2-size-sewing-machine/20118030?ptag=1 ) and a gift card would go a LONG way towards the cost ... I'd even consider upgrading to this one http://www.sears.ca/product/kenmore-md-horizontal-sewing-machine-46-stitch-functions/20162420?ptag=1. I can be reached through my blog.
