Painted curtains

These are the curtains in my home office: cheap white Target panels I decorated with fabric paint. This is an easy way to make yourself some custom curtains you can be sure no one else has.

I just bought some more white sheers to add a little more privacy to my windows (yet still let in the light). I dont know why I didnt think of doing something like this -- I guess there is still time. I love the orange.

The curtains are beautiful. I have an odd question, maybe someone can give me thier opinion.

I have a really odd bedroom with 4 windows - 2 that face a neighbors driveway - 2 that I like - faces a garden. Also has 2 doors - because of these windows and doors - I have no good place to put a king bed and a large bureau - unless I block a door or window - would this look terrible?? Thanks for any ideas you may have!!

Wow, Wendy, that's a tough one. If you need to put the bed and dresser in there, you're obviously going to have to block something! Maybe you could block the windows facing the driveway, since the view isn't so pretty. You might try putting simple shades or curtain panels on all the windows to make them look consistent (something that's flat when closed, not poofy) and keeping the ones behind your furniture closed. Then it might look more wall-like back there, and not cause anyone to think, "Hey, she's blocking the window!" Sounds like you have plenty of windows, so sacrificing a couple might be okay?

Or you can install shades that both pull down from the top OR pull up from the bottom. You could keep the bottom half of the windows covered behind your bed and still let in light on the top.

Like this.

But I'm not an interior decorator, so I bet other folks might have better ideas. Good luck!

Wow was looking for a way to decorate with the new fab color of tangerine and this may be it! Then I do not have to commit to the color if only on curtains and decor. Thanks!
